About:Marco Polo Memorial Museum

I planned to backpack to Guilin in coming October. As I intend to apply for single entry tourist (L) visa only, what do I need to provide for embassy?
I only have return air tickets. I have not book hotel yet as I wished to find hostel in the area when arrive.
Does that mean the embassy will reject my application?

You need to provide the following documents:
a. Your valid & actual passport. The passport must have at least six (6) months validity left before expiration and at least one blank page left in it.
b. One completed Visa Application Form with one additional passport photo (black & white or color is acceptable).
c. Round-way air tickets and hotel booking in China.

You may be refused, but it is also possible to get the visa without the hotel booking in China. It depends on the China Embassy who you will apply for the visa from, so you can contact the embassy to get the exact answer.
