About:Chinese Embassy in U.K.

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if you could help with some advice on a visa application.

I'm on a RTW trip with my wife and are currently in LA but travel to Tokyo on Sunday. We will have approximately 2 weeks in Japan before heading off to Beijing and traveling around China for just under 3 months.

The problem is neither of us have our visas to enter China yet and need to sort this out. Obviously this will need to be done in Japan. I.m a UK Citizen and my wife is a Polish Passport holder.

Does anybody have any experience in this field? or any advice on how and where we need to go about sorting this out?

Mr.Richard Greenwood, you can your wife can apply for a visa at China Embassy oin Tokyo, however, the certainty is not 100%. Please read the article about China visa application in a third country on this website https://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/visa/application.htm

When you apply for the visa in Tokyo, please provide your valid passport, completed visa application forms affixed with one passport photo, air ticket to China, original and copy of legal entry record to Japan

Thank you very much Mr Sam, Do you know what type of visa we will need to apply for to allow us 3 months stay? and how long it will take to get the visa?

You need apply for Tourist visa, however, the tourist visa generally permits 30 days duration of stay. please write your planned stay duration on the visa application, and list your travel itinerary within 3 months in China, maybe the visa official will issue you a visa with 90 days duration of stay.
