we will arrive pudong later and would like to take train or bus to huangshan. is it possible to book the train/ bus ticket from overseas? where can we buy the tickets?

I don't think the train tickets can be available in overseas. You can ask the hotel you stay in Pudong to book one for you. Or you can make a call to Shanghai railway service to book tickets.
