About:Zhuhai Travel

Hi, I will be in HK on 26 Jul 09. Intending to cross over to Zuhai via macau. From HK to Macau shouldn't be a problem but I need some urgently needed info like how do I get to Zuhai from Macau via the gongbei CIQ. Where do I take the bus or taxi from macau to Zuhai and where in Zuhai can I do some cheap shopping. Since this is my 1st visit to Macau and Zuhai ... I really have no idea how far or the travelling time needed for travel. If I leave for Macau from HK by the 1st ferry, spend half a day in Macau, will I still have time to spend the afternoon/early evening in Zuhai shopping and catch the last ferry back to HK? Any info would be much appreciated.

From the HK-Macau Ferry Terminal of Macau to the Barrer Gate of Gongbei, it will take about 20 minutes by Bus 10, Or you can just take a taxi. Pass the border, you are in Zhuhai. For shopping, Gongbei has an underground shopping center and Xiangzhou, Jingshan Road are all good place to go. If you mean leaving back for Hong Kong from Zhuhai, you should get to Zhuhai JIuzhou Port to take the ferry. the last one is at 21:30.

Thank you Sir. Are the taxi metered or do we have to pre agreed on a price first before boarding. Another question is after clearing the gongbei CIQ, is there any shopping centre within walking distance.

Generally, the taxi is metered. Gongbei has an underground shopping centers at the border. You can just get around there.
