About:Chinese Embassy in Indonesia

I am an Indonesian, currently studying in Beijing with X visa (6 months) which is about to expire on 5 September. This is my second 6-month-X-visa.

I just got accepted in Peking University (4 years PhD) and should start classes in September. Can I extend my visa in Beijing, or do I have to return to Jakarta to apply for visa there? I already have the JW 202 (for 4 years visa) from the university.

And do I have to do another physical examination again?

Thank you.

China visas can't be extended. You can just go to Hk to apply for a new X visa, and you need a nother physical examination for the new X visa application.
