About:Getting to Harbin

Can I purchase train ticket from harbin to Shanghai 2 or 1 hour before departure? If I travel on Oct. 5th will I be affected by people on off duty for the National Day in Oct. 1st? Any advise please?

There is only one train from Harbin to Shanghai, so it is difficult to buy a ticket especially during the national holiday (Oct.1~8) even if 10 days in advance. Actually, you could consider taking a flight!

I'd like to ask further. How many days ahead can I purchase ticket from Harbin to Shanghai? Can I possibly buy 2 weeks ahead?

Generally speaking, you can buy the ticket 5 days in advance and 10-12 days during the busy holidays. So, two weeks are not impossible. :-)
