hi, im about to go to dalian with some friends on early september for about 1 week.can u recommend some cheap ticket from shanghai to dalian? and good hotel there.but not too expensive one. :)maybe better if its near beach.and would u recommend us what to do there?

Places to go in Dalian: Bangchuidao Scenic Area, Jinshitan Scenic Area, Laohutan Ocean Park, Port Arthur. At early Septemeber, China Eastern Airlines has a little cheaper air ticket. If going by train, you will spenf nearly 23 hours. The train ticket fare for soft sleeper is about 690RMB. The air ticket is similar or cheaper perhaps in December.
