Good Day! Ms. YoYo,
Price of train tickets differs because of different seats or sleepers you buy. There is only one train from Beijing to Lhasa. For the soft sleeper, lower berth costs 1079RMB and upper berth costs 1033RMB. Hard lower berth costs 699RMB, middle 675RMB and upper 653RMB. You'd better go to the railway station to get the ticket.

Sawasdee Ms.Addison

Thanks for your reply. I would like to know is this price included the permit to get in to Lhaza? and what about the price from Chengdu to Lhaza? and if i buy the ticket at the station..do you think it would be easy to buy it byself? or better to buy with the agency? and how long for waiting?....thanks in advance

Hello again, Ms. YoYo.
The permit is not included in the ticket. They are different. You need to get your permit separately and show it when you get on the train. From Chengdu to Lhasa, the lower berth of soft sleeper costs 921RMB and upper one costs 882RMB. A hard lower berth costs 598RMB, middle 578RMB and upper one costs 557RMB. The tickets to Lhasa are always to hard to buy. You'd better go to the station at your earliest time. Finding an agency is not a bad idea, but you have to pay for extra handling charge.
