About:West Lake (Xi Hu)

I am planning to visit Hangzhou during end November 2009. Is this a good time ? Is the climate very cold ? do the leaves turn red or leaves fall off ? Are there any festivals ? are there still night boat rides ? Thanks

It is not the best season to visit Hangzhou. It is winter at that time and the temperature is around 15C, warmer at noon. Yes, leaves are going to fall off. The best time is to visit in July, where there is flower and green trees, as well as Dragon Boat competitions. Summer is perfect, for the lotus in the lake is in blossom. No special activity in Novermber. Night cruise is available at summer, I guess it will stop in winter.
