You could search the train information, including numbers, time schedule and fare at https://www.travelchinaguide.com/china-trains/ For comfortable cosideration, you could purchase a sofe-sleeper. Usually, the train ticket could be purchase 10 days in advance at any ticket offices ditributed in the city area. But, the days may be changed somtimes so you'd better pay attention to the new policy in time.
