About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

I am Canadian, and currently an alien resident in Western Japan. I am planning to travel to China from Tokyo on August 17th. I will be in Tokyo starting August 6th, and was wondering if that would give me enough time to apply for and receive a single entry visa at the Chinese embassy in person.
Thanks!

It normally takes 4 working days to issue a visa, so you have enough time to process your China visa in Tokyo. Don't worry about that.

I was worried because I reside in Yamaguchi prefecture, which isn't listed as one of the regions served.
