This is one of the most beautiful towns of all China...Brings tears to my eyes when I think of it...This was my 5th visit to China, the 3rd time being when I lived in China and taught English...Only me and my American friend who had never been in China before traveled to China and we were entranced by the atmosphere of this lovely village of Fenghuang...we stayed there 4 nights and walked along the river and stayed by the water as the lights came on and reflected the beautiful colors in the river....We met many Chinese tourists as well as local people in this village mostly built on stilts and we brought home a CD from the King of Hulusi, Kuang Yuehui, who entertained us daily with his beautiful music. P.S. If you wish to tour China with me next April, I am planning on a 21-day trip to China visiting Fenghuang again as well as to other places of beauty and historical significance.
