About:Chinese Embassy in France

Hello. I'm french and I have a visa z which expires on 20th july. It's my second year in China and I never left the country. I would like to extend my visa without going to Hong Kong. I read that I can extend my visa in the police station for one more month. Is it really possible, even if my contract with my employee is over? And which documents I have to bring ? I just want stay a little bit more and travel in China before leaving.Because I really like this country !!!

You can just extend the duration of your stay in China within the validity period of your visa from the police station when you in Chna. Once the visa expired, you have to apply for a new visa instead of extend it.
Considering your situation, I'm afraid that you have to go to Hk to apply for a L tourist visa for your travel in China again.
