There are lots of historical places in Beijing, such as Great Wall, Forbidden City. Well, you'd better check them one by one at https://www.travelchinaguide.com/attraction/beijing/As for Guangzhou, not so many. You could go to the Guangxiao Templet,  the Yuexiu Park and the Ancestral Temple of the Chen Family.Nice trip!
