hi im to travel to china and then have a connecting flight to russia, i assume i must come past passprt control and customs as i will need to check in for my russia flight,and also on my return i have an 11 hour transit time ,so i need to know do i need a visa for this,im not to leave the airport as for a short time it isnt worth it

If you just transit the airport of China for less than 24 hours and won't move out of the airport, no visa is needed.
