About:China Culture

Emperor Qin had nothing to do with the name "China".
as everyone knows, China people never knows english, until the modern time.
Therefore, China is never named China by the Chinese.
China is named "Zhong Guo" by the chinese..
Zhong Guo literally means Middle Country, as it is sort of located in the middle of the world map..

Hi, i agree with you that China has nothing to do with emperor qin. Although i do not know whether it is right for your last sentence, but i totally agree with you that China is never named China by the Chinese. And i also think that The name China has certain relationship with the status of the old zhongguo. If you have other ideas, please share with me. i am also interested in the name of China.

China (porcelain) is created in Zhongguo. So, the foreigners would like to use china to call the people in Zhongguo (中国). This is the origin of this English name.
