You can take the train from Chengdu to Nanchong at Chengdu Railway Station. It takes about 3 hours to get to the destination. There are ten trains leaving Chengdu railway station for Nanchong each day. You can but a hard seat ticket, as the trip is not long. The ticket costs CNY33.
