About:Chinese Currency & Money Exchange

My boss is travelling to Beijing. How much US$ or other currency can he take with him? If it is more than permissible, can he take and declare upon arrival? Please advise.

5,000 US dollars or equivalent in any foreign currency. If you want to take more, you need to apply for a certificate in Bank of China in Saudi Arabia.
