Question

I am a Malaysian working in Singapore. I am planning to visit my friend in China. It is my understanding that I need to provide the air ticket and hotel reservations for visa application. However, I will be staing at my friend's place. In this case I won't be able to provide hotel reservation. Please advise if I need a letter of my friend explaining I will be staying at his place or just simply his address.

If you will stay at your friend's house, you can ask your friend to write an invitation letter enclosed with his/her valid address and contacts for you. He/she can also write that you will stay in his/her house in the letter.
