I'm an American citizen visiting Macau. Can I apply a 1-day visa to Zhuhai? And what's the cost?

Yes, if you will just stay in Zhuhai for one day, you can apply for Zhuhai special zone visa with a duration of 3 days in Zhuhai at Gongbei or Hengqin when you enter Zhuhai.
