One day is enough to cover the highlights in Guilin, but guilin is such a charming city. I think you should stay one more day to wander around the city to enjoy its beautiful scenery and relaxed living pace. Once you are in Guilin, you should not miss Yangshuo town, which is the end of the Li River cruise tour. 2 more days in yangshuo would make your guilin tour perfect. haha0
