About:Chinese Consulate in Melbourne

Is it possible to be issued with a chinese visa ( tourist visa, single entry for 30 day stay) in an Australian passport while in Hong Kong? My son is travelling through Africa for 5 months before arriving in Hong kong, and then flys to beijing. he is not in any place for more than 4 days, so can't get a visa anywhere before..

Yes, he can get a Chinese tourist visa in Hong Kong. The visa-issuing office in Hong Kong is the Commissioner' Office of People's Republic of China Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong SAR.
