hi going from shanghai to nanning by train. How often does it run.  can I buy on day of travel>  is there food on the train.

Everyday, there are two trains from Shanghai South Railway Station to Nanning: one deaprts at 16:19 and the other at 17:01. It runs 28-29 hours. Better to buy ticket in advance. You can buy at the day of travel not in high seasons. Food is available on the train.
