Can I take a train from Dongying in Shandong to Chizhou?

Hi. Mr. Clack, there are no direct trains from Dongying to Chizhou. You can choose the following cities as the transfer stations:
Xuanzheng, Wuhu, Maanshan, Nanjing, Nanjing West
I suggest you go to Nanjing and then go to Chizhou from Nanjing Railway Station. From Nanjing Railway Station to Chizhou, there are three trains within a day. If time is not pressing, you may get around the Nanjing City and then go to Chizhou. The trip from Nanjing to Chizhou costs about 4 hours.
