If we take the soft seat train from Suzhou to Hangzhou, are the seats fixed and how long will train ride take compare to driving?

Yes, the seats are fixed and clients need to sit according to their tickets. There are bullet trains from Suzhou to Hangzhou. On this train, the lazybacks of the seats are removable. You can adjust it so that you may feel more comfortable.  It will take you about 2.5 hours from Suzhou to Hangzhou by this bullet train. And it will take you about 3 hours by car or van. Have a nice journey!
