About:NP04

We will be arriving at the Baiyun airport from Tunxi at 2330. Do we have enough time to catch the No. 5 Airport Bus to Haizhu Plaza? The last run is 00.22. Otherwise, is there another alternative other than a taxi? If going by taxi, approximately how much would it cost? Are there taxis that take 5 persons? Or do we have to take two taxis?

Hi, if you keep quickly when you arrive at the airport, it seems that you could catch the last bus. I'm afraid that you five people need two taxies, the fare is about 100~150RMB at night. Good luck~

Thank you for answering my question. Another question: I have read that taxi drivers may scam the tourists with fake 100 Yuan notes. In Guangzhou, do you have a taxi company that is considered more safe to travel with?

Hi, I think these situation may occur seldom. Most of the drivers here are reliable. You should choose the cab with clear Taxi logo. So, take it easy!

Personally, my favorite taxi company is BaiYun. Their taxis are all blue and they have a good reputation among foreigners. It's not likely that a taxi driver would scam you with a Y100 note, as that's the largest bill in China and you would never receive change in that amount. Be careful with Y50 or Y20 notes you receive as change.
