About:China Area & Zip Code

hi I found this website to be very helpful in finding info about China. I am trying to find the zip code for xiangheyuan road, dongcheng district, Beijing china. I was also wondering if I only write the address in English on the package, will Chinese carrier understand where to deliver? Thank you very much for any help!

Hi, the zip code is 100028. You'd better write it in Pinyin, it is ok for the deliver. You can also write it in Chinese. It is: 中国北京市东城区香河园街

If you write like this: xiangheyuan road, dongcheng district, Beijing china. It is ok, cause most of the word are english. Tell me the full address, i will give you the pinyin version, then there will be no problem. You have told me the street, district and city, but what about the Number?? Apartment??
By the way, maybe some of the carrier can understand english, but you'd better write it in pinyin in case of emergency.

thank you very very much for help! You are the best! Do you really think if only written in English the package will not make it to destination? I have no way of writting in Chinese. The line below in Chinese that you wrote, does it include full address, including street, number, apartment, district, city and zipcode?

6-1606 apt
Dongcheng district
Beijing , china 100028

I think you need write the envelop according to the chinese way. Put the zip code in the left top. And write the address like this:
China(zhongguo), Beijing Dongchengqu xiangheyuanlu No.1, 6-1606.
The Chinese version is: 中国北京东城区香河园路一号6-1606
