I'll be going to Guangzhou in the middle of July. Am I taking a risk for not make prior hotel booking? And where is the best place that can I buy silks and embroidery with cheap price in guangzhou? TQ

It is suggested that you book a hotel in advance, which may be cheaper. Of course, you could look for one hotel when you arrive in Guangzhou, but have to pay much more. As for the silks, you may have a try at Guangzhou Silk Mansion. However, Guangzhou is the original producing region of silk, so please don't expect too much!
