Dear Mr. Menck, Please do not worry. It is easy to buy food and drinks on train. The staff on the train will walk back and forth selling snack and water. There is also a dining car. You can go there and have your meals. The price is a little bit high, but acceptable.

Mr.Menck, the trains have a restaurant car which you can visit. I have never used one as all trains have a water boiler in each car and attendants often come by with hot water which can be used for tea, instant coffee, or instant foods such as noodles. I always bring along my own food, but you can also buy noodles and such on the train. Occasionally a porter from the kitchen will also come by with meals.

Hi, Mr.Menck Yes, you can buy convenience food and drinks on the train. Also, there is dining car available on the train. But the prices for the food and drinks are a little bit higher than those in local super markets. If you want to buy the train tickets, you need contact the local ticket office or go to Beijing train station directly.
