Hi.. We are 2 UK citizens arriving in Japan on Tues 17th June planning to fly to Beijing on 24th June. We have single entry 30 day visas for China. We now want to amend our plans and travel to Mongolia and return to China. This means we need a double entry visa - is it possible to arrange a new double entry visa whilst in Japan? I am a little confused on whether you need to be a Japanese resident or not. Thanks in advance

Actually, you can apply another single entry visa to China from the Chinese embassy when you are in Mongolia.

Thanks for your reply but I have heard that it is almost impossible to get a China visa from the embassy in Mongolia. Is anyone else aware of this??

There is a rule posted at the Chinese embassy's site that: for applying for Chinese tourist visa, the applicants are supposed to hold a Japanese long-stay visa( more than one year). Thanks.
