If yo will do business in China, you need a F visa.
Besides invitation letter, you also have to prepare the followings:
1. Your passport with blank pages and at least 6 months validity left before expiration.

2. A completely filled application form affixed with one passport-sized photo.

3. A Visa Notification Form issued by Chinese authorities.

4.Round-trip air ticket

5.Confirmed Hotel reservation form.
