About:Shopping in Shanghai

Hi I will be visiting Shanghai for 3 days at the end of July. I will be staying at Sofitel Hyland and need information on names of markets thats close to the hotel. Also wish to visit the Pearl Tower. Is it best to visit during the day? Do I have to buy tickets ahead or able to buy tickets on the day Im visiting? Could you also suggest what is the cost of the entrance ticket. Would it be worthwhile to have lunch there as I read reports that the meals not soo good. Any good shopping around Pearl tower???

The hotel is just located on the prosperous Nanjing Road, which is said to the first commercial street in China. You could find many shops selling local products as well as lots of luxurious department stores! Never disappoint you~

Well, I think the Pearl Tower could be visited at anytime. If you would like to enjoy the glamour night veiw of Shanghai, go there at night. It opens from 08:00 to 21:00. The fare is CNY50 per person. I think it is too expensive to have a dinner on the tower although you could have a good angle on 267 meters to observe this city. The reference price for a dinner there is CNY200 per person for lunch and CNY280 for supper.

The tower is located in Luhuazui of Pudong, where you could do shopping freely in these comfortable department stores, such as the famous NEXTAGE.
