About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

I am an American citizen with living in japan with a work visa. Do I need a visitors visa or just a japanese re-entry permit to visit China? If I do need a L visa or whatever, do I need to make an Appointment to Apply for an L visa to China from japan, or can I just walk in during business hours? I currently live in Gunma Prefecture, so I assume I would go to Tokyo to apply correct?

Yes, Mr, Diz, you are probably right. you need a Lvisa to visit China. I advise you make a pnone inquiry before walk to the embassy.
