Pls advice how is the best & most economic way to reach shaoxing (from Shanghai). By coach, taxi or train?

Both train and coach are available and economical. If you take the train, the earliest proper one is T769 1105/1317 (hard seat: CNY38.00 net per ticket; soft seat: CNY57.00 net per ticket). You can catch a coach at Shanghai South Passenger Station (No. 666 Shilong Road) or Shanghai Lutai Passenger Station (No. 1015 North Zhongshan Road). The coach trip costs about 3.5 hours driving and CNY80.00 ticket. If you plan to go back Shanghai by train, I suggest you purchase the train tickets (N426 1259/1608 or T796 1646/1910) upon arrival to assure the availability.
