How far is it from Dandong to Changbai Mountain (Mt. Baekdu)?Is it possible to go to Changbaishan from Dandong (and back) in one day?

You should get to Shenyang or Tonghua first and then change buses to Baihe. Baihe station is the nearest railway station to Changbai Mountain. There is also direct trains from Dandong to Baihe. Train No. K7378. It takes 17.5 hours. So one day is not enough. Yu should have a night stay over there.
