What is your purpose of visiting China? If it is for travel, you should obtain an L visa. The requirements are:
1. You must hold a valid passport with a minimum validity life of 6 months and enough blank visa pages left
2. A completed visa application form with a passport-style photo is required
3. Two-way tickets and confirmed hotle reservation proof
