About:Chinese Embassy in France

Hello,
Do you need a visa for a transit connection as french citizens in the airport of Shanghai Pudong, considering that we will have to go trough the customs, pick up our luggage and chek-in again for the next flight. Can we actually get on chinese territory without a visa while waiting at the airport?

Mr.Westra, yes, you need not have a visa if you stay in Shanghai Pudong Airport for not more than 48 hours, you can also go out of the airport.
