The Ming Tombs are the cemetery of the emperors of Ming Dynasty. If you are not interested, you can skip it. If you want to visit the Mao's Mausoleum, you might have to queue in the line for hours, but can only see that for several minutes. Also, it is not sure that the Mausoleum will open to the public on the day you are traveling.
