Our flight from Shanghai Pudong to USA is scheduled for 1800 on November 1. If we wanted to take a car and driver to Xitang on October 31 in the afternoon, stay in a hotel in or near Xitang overnight on October 31, tour Xitang on November 1 and be back at the Pudong Airport by 3 PM on November 1, is this possible,

As the local conditions in Xitang are very limited and there is no good hotel in the area, I suggest you take a day tour to Xitang and drive back to Shanghai in the afternoon.
