Dear Brad, are you in Suzhou now? For one-day Suzhou tour, I would like to give you 2 suggestions:
1. Enjoy the representative horticultural scenery including the Humble Administrator's Garden, the Tiger Hill, the Garden of the Master of the Nets and the Lingering Garden;
2. Drive out of Suzhou to Zhouzhuang or Wuzhen water town to appreciate the pleasant water town sight.
