Yes, Shangri-la is really a great place to visit. I will definitely go back again (I was there for only 2 days - May 25 to 27). It is quiet, peaceful and people are friendly. There are a number of hotels and the one I stayed at is Holy Palace Hotel. This time I joined a tour and everything is taken care of. If this is your first trip, it is recommended to have guided tour. Unless you have a lot of time on hand to check around places. Though I joined a Singapore tour but when you are at the county, you will be guided by local tour agent. Our tour guide was great. He speaks English and he is a Tibetan. I left his name card at home...but if I am not wrong, he got a unique personal email - yourlover8888.com.in I cant remember the spelling but I pronounced as 'TOPTEN'.
