About:China Visa

I am an Indian passport holder. I want to visit Hong Kong for tourism. If I don't take the visa, I can stay for 14 days. So after 14 days, can I go out of Hong Kong , say to Thailand, for 1 day and come back to stay for another 14 days without a visa ? I want to visit Hong Kong on an open ticket from India (with return date not confirmed), and I will have my confirmed tickets to Thailand at the end of 14 days. Is such an arrangement allowed ?
