About:Chinese Embassy in Singapore

My son is holding a Singapore passport and is currently in China (Jiangsu) visiting his maternal grandparent on a 60 days L visa.
My parent-in-law wanted him to stay there for a longer period (around 6 months). How can he extend his visa in China.
