About:Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport

Hello
I am flying China Southern Air from BKK to Guangzhou (Flight 362) and from Guangzhou to Beijing (Flight 3113). Since I am a US citzen, which city do have to go through immigration and customs?
Guangzhou or Beijing?
