hi i travelled to guilin with my partner in january, it was absolutely beautiful. you can get a 4 hour boat cruise down the river to yangzhou - which is definitely a must. i would recommend staying at least one night in yuangzhou while you are in guilin. you can book this cruise when you arrive in guilin, there a lots of english speaking tour guides of very good price. i would recommend booking a hot air balloon ride over the mountains in yangzhou too. breathtaking.
