About:Chinese Embassy in Vietnam

Hi i am in Hanoi at the moment and have found one of few tour operators that will get me a 3 month double entry visa for China. However after a bit of research on the internet, i found a forum that stated the visas can only be applied for in Ho Chi Minh, a rule that has been in effect for about a month. The tour operator says that the visa will take 6 days, but all posts on here suggest it is 4. could these extra 2 days be to transport the passport to and from Ho Chi Minh from Hanoi? I'd be great full if you could shed some light. Thanks

The normal processing time of a Chinese visa is 4 working days. Well, currently, due to the swine flu, the normal processing time has been extended from 4 working days to 6 working days in the Chinese embassy/consulates in USA. It is not sure if other Chinese missions adopt the same practice.
