I will be participating on the United Nations study program to Nanjing, 13-31 July 2009.  Could you please advise if I should make a reservation New York-Shanghai-New York; then take a train to Nanjing. I plan to depart NY on 9 July 2009 and return on 14 August 2009.  Is Ramada Hotel, nearby Flower Drum, within walking distance to Nanjing University.

Mr. Tony, it's Drum Tower, not Flower Drum, called Gu Lou in Chinese. The Ramada Plaza Yihua Hotel is near Nanjing University. You can reserve a airplane ticket from New York to Shanghai and then to New York. You can take a bullet train at Shanghai Railway Station to Nanjing. The trip needs about two hours.
