I have made 3 trips to Hainan and the last two was about 10 days ago.

The airport in Haikon is Meilan Airport and it has very few direct international connections. The one in Sanya is for domestic flights only. I am not sure you can fly in directly from ME to Meilan. May be you have to go thru the usual hubs, like Guangzhou, Shanghai or Beijing.

If you are using Guangzhou as a transit, then you can fly into Haikou and the return via Sanya

Duarins and mangosteen are not local indigenous fruits. They do grow mangosteen but not durians. Those durians sold in China and if you can find them in Hainan, they are most likely imported from Thailand.

Hainan do produces mangosteen. You have to bear in mind that you cannot bring durians inside a plane. It is not permitted as far as I know.

There are many direct flights from the Middle East to Singapore. From Singapore you can travel by budget airlines, Tiger Air or Jet Star to Haikou daily. In Singapore, there are many varieties of durians and mangosteens imported from Malaysia.
