About:Chinese Embasy in Ireland

Hi, I am an Irish citizen travelling from the USA to China in September. I do not have a Chinese visa as of yet and have heard rumours that I would need to apply for my Chinese visa in Ireland. Is this true or can I apply in the USA as I won't be returning to Ireland prior to China?

You can apply for the Chinese visa in USA despite that the current Chinese visa regulation has been tightened since May 4. The regular processing time has been delayed from 4 business days to 6 business days.
