I am planning to visit Taiwan end of sept to early oct this year. I would like to check what is the weather / season for the above period in order for me to prepare type of cloth. Thank you.

It is the autumn then that will be a little cool at early morning and night. But, the daytime is hot sometimes in the downtown area.

btw, any recommendation of budget hostel / hotel (accomodation) in Taipei, Kaoshiong, TaiTong?

Hi, glad to help. It will be nearly 30 C at the highest in September, for it is still in the summer, getting cooler since October.

I believe that the type of cloth you need is silk, cashmere and satin, none of which you can afford.
